[00:02:19] Robert Hossary: it’s our pleasure to have you. I mean, as I said, we’re trying to make the world wiser lesson by lesson. And so, what better way to do that than to speak to people who have the wisdom to share with our audience, and our audience is now reaching over 110 countries around the world.
[00:02:35] Robert Hossary: So, we are growing. We’ve been around for four years, and we’re continuing to grow. So, thank you for making time to be with us today.
[00:02:42] Robert Hossary: Before we get to your 10 lessons, let me ask you this question. What would you have told your 30-year-old self? If you had that knowledge back then,
[00:02:52] Daniel Gomez: What I would have told my 30-year-old self is not to be scared to bet on yourself even bigger. Everything that we do in life, it requires risk to be in a successful business owner, successful entrepreneur. And at first, I was kind of scared to bet on myself, but now I bet on myself bigger than ever before. So if I would have bet on myself instead of at 44, at 30, I would have been 14 years ahead, man, I would have been, Lord knows where I would have been by now, but bet on yourself even bigger at 30 years old is what I would have told myself, Robert.
[00:03:21] Robert Hossary: what wonderful advice and I couldn’t agree more. I feel the same way. Had I had the confidence at 30 that I have now, knowing that I can do what I can do, and I could have done it then. I’m with you, my friend. I definitely would have Been a lot further ahead than I am now. So, what wonderful advice.

[00:03:40] Lesson 1: Have a Morning Routine

[00:03:40] Robert Hossary: Thank you. All right, let’s just jump straight into your 10 lessons. So, let’s look at lesson number one, have a morning routine. Tell me about that, Daniel.
[00:03:51] Daniel Gomez: Well, most people are not self-disciplined and in business, the way you do something is the way you do everything. So, if you’re not disciplined in your personal life, you’re not going to be disciplined in your business. And I’ll never forget back in 2021, we were there in Miami at the bay on a yacht with Floyd Mayweather. And I remember looking over to this one beautiful house in the harbor there in the bay in Miami. And I said, I’m going to have a house like that one day. Beautiful, beautiful house there, multi-million dollar home over and over. And this guy chuckled at me and laughed and said, I’m serious. I’m going to get me a house. When I went back to the hotel room, Robert, something amazing happened. I looked in the mirror and I looked at myself and I was honest with myself. I said that guy in the mirror can’t buy that house. I realized that I needed to do something more. I didn’t need business coaching at the time. I didn’t need none of that.
[00:04:40] Daniel Gomez: I was saying this because my cheeks were chubby and I had, I didn’t realize how complacent I had gotten in my success. How lazy I had gotten. And to me, it goes, it went back that cause I was working out, but I was just going through the motion and what a morning routine helps you. He helps you to get disciplined and helps you to know that, Hey, when I wake up at X, Y, Z for you, maybe it might be four, maybe five, maybe six o’clock, but you know that when that time goes off, you’re going to love yourself enough to get out of bed, even though you’re comfortable, even though you’re warm and that’s what sets the tone for the day.
[00:05:12] Daniel Gomez: Your morning routine sets the tone for the day because of. You’re slow, unorganized in the beginning of the morning. You’re going to be that way the entire day, Robert.
[00:05:21] Robert Hossary: That is insightful because. The one thing that you said there that triggered my memory is that you’re warm, you’re comfortable, and it’s more than that, it’s the fact that if you don’t get up, if you don’t Have that morning routine, that schedule. It doesn’t matter. You’re saying to yourself, it doesn’t matter if I’m late.
[00:05:47] Robert Hossary: It doesn’t matter if I do this. It doesn’t matter if I do that. And that mindset then continues for the rest of the day. Would that be correct?
[00:05:57] Daniel Gomez: because everything trickles over. It runs over to every department of your life; your physical life goes into your work life. Your work life goes into your health life. Your health life goes into your relational life. And your spiritual aspect, everything, everything intertwines it.
[00:06:13] Daniel Gomez: Then the mistake that we think is what good does it do to be a seven-figure father, right? What good does it do to be a seven-figure father? And then in business you’re losing or what good does it do to be a seven-figure business owner? But then in your own marriage, you’re a five-figure husband. It doesn’t work out that way. The whole thing of the morning routine is to be a seven-figure man or seven figure woman in your spiritual walk, in your physical walk, in your health, in your business. In your relationships and in every aspect of life. And sometimes we miss that, Robert.
[00:06:49] Robert Hossary: I can attest to that. I was Not as disciplined as I have been in the past decade or so. And I can tell you, it did impact me, but having that morning routine as, as simple as this sounds, people, as simple as this sounds, it’s powerful. Don’t forget that. what a great lesson to start off with.

[00:07:15] Lesson 2: Raise Your B.A.A.R

[00:07:15] Robert Hossary: All right. Let’s move on to lesson number two. Raise your bar. B A A R. What is a B A A R?
[00:07:26] Daniel Gomez:
[00:07:26] Daniel Gomez: So, in my book, the makings of a milliner mind, I talk about raise your B.A.A.R, right? Raise your belief system. When you raise your belief system, you raise your attitude. You have a better attitude as you wake up in the morning. And when you have a better attitude, your approach is totally different. Think about somebody this, think of somebody wakes up and they’re a sales professional and they don’t believe that they’re going to sell anything because it’s a cold rainy day.
[00:07:47] Daniel Gomez: They get up, their attitude is man, it’s rainy outside. So, then their approach is nasty, right? Their approach is nah, why bother? They’re making their phone calls, right? But they’re half-hearted phone calls. And then the R is the result. The result shows up and nothing was sold. And then they validate their own insecurities, their own bad attitude, their own bad approach. I told you it was going to be slow, right? They validate themselves instead of raising your beliefs in a state, right? I’m going to say regardless of the weather, I’m having an amazing sales day. It’s going to be a great sales day. So, your attitude’s up, your approach is confident, you’re calling, you’re smiling and dialling.
[00:08:25] Daniel Gomez: And guess what Robert says, man, I love Daniel’s energy. I’ll take two of those, Daniel. I was going to buy one, but no, give me two. That’s what raising your B.A.A.R is all about. And this is what we do in our corporate trainings. it hurts me when I see these VP of sales that they get used to their own environment and they lose, right?
[00:08:41] Daniel Gomez: They are so complacent. There’s no energy in their presentation. And then what happens is the truth is with any sales team and their leader. They’re these filters, relationship filters start forming and what they used to hear before they don’t longer hear, but you as the leader, you as the VP of sales, you as a CEO of your business, you got to raise the B.A.A.R.
[00:09:01] Daniel Gomez: You got to raise that energy. You got to raise the belief, the attitude, the approach, and then the result will validate the higher level of the bar being raised.
[00:09:10] Robert Hossary: being a sales professional for most of my career, I couldn’t agree more. If you don’t have that belief to begin with, your approach sucks. Your attitude sucks
[00:09:21] Daniel Gomez: well, I didn’t want to say that, but yeah, it sucks.
[00:09:23] Robert Hossary: It absolutely sucks. And you do not get the result.
[00:09:26] Robert Hossary: I love the anagram. definitely people raise your B.A.A.R.
[00:09:30] Robert Hossary: if your attitude is positive, that’s what you exude, that’s what will come back to you. Would you agree with that?
[00:09:38] Daniel Gomez: the thing is, this is that when you set the tone for the day, then people follow your tone, they follow your tempo.
[00:09:46] Robert Hossary: if you allow other people’s temp, my, my attitude is in. Oh, am I going to walk into a room? Are people going to like me? No, wait, who do I want to connect with you?
[00:09:53] Daniel Gomez: I changed the energy. I changed the atmosphere. That’s my approach. And we were just in Tampa, Florida. We were just in Tampa Bay. And we had, there was this big old conference. Amazing energy amazing there, but I went in there and I was like, great. I love this. But my energy was even higher and they’re like, who’s this guy walking around like he owns a place. And I’m not talking about arrogant and cocky, but just like with your confidence. I call it Godfidence, right? It’s not confidence. It’s Godfidence because my confidence comes from God. But it’s because I know my value, I know my work and people can sense that aura around you that winning. I call it the winning atmosphere that you embody every single day in. It’s like, I was telling one of my guys today, I said, man, I said, how did you do today? He goes, well, everything was negative. I said, when you start seeing yourself as a winner, you’re going to start winning even more. And he said, again, when you see yourself as a winner. You’re going to start winning even more. And many people, they don’t see themselves as a true winner that they are.
[00:10:50] Robert Hossary: Can I just say that, again, agree, my experience backs that up, but be careful people. You see yourself as a winner, but please temper the arrogance. Winners are not arrogant. Winners are not up themselves, as we say here in Australia. Winners are humble and, you know, they care about people. They give back.
[00:11:17] Robert Hossary: That’s what a winner is. Don’t walk around arrogant and say, hey, I can sell anything. Maybe you can, but please. It doesn’t take much to be humble and to be nice, and you’ll win even more.
[00:11:31] Daniel Gomez: I will say this to that though, because there is a false sense of humility. I see it where people have a false humility.
[00:11:38] Daniel Gomez: No, like being humble is for instance, once again, in this event that we were with in Tampa, there was like a thousand entrepreneurs, but I was like, I was humble, but I was like, good morning.
[00:11:46] Daniel Gomez: How y’all doing? I was giving everybody these million-dollar bills and they were like, man, thank you so much. And they were just excited. And because I made their day. The thing is, this is being humble is this right? You can walk in your confidence. You can walk with your, with your demeanor way up here, but. Just give people compliments, give them a sincere compliment. Hey, beautiful blouse. Hey, thank you. Look, I love that million-dollar smile. Like a sincere compliment not only helps the people you’re giving it to it, it raises their right, their self-esteem way up, but it also gives you that, that shot that you need of endorphins and energy and just loving yourself.
[00:12:18] Daniel Gomez: It gets you. It’s a win.
[00:12:20] Robert Hossary: yeah,

[00:12:20] Lesson 3: Be Worthy and Deserving

[00:12:20] Robert Hossary: I totally agree. All right, let’s go to lesson number three. Be worthy and deserving. Again, I’m not going to, I’m not going to say that I disagree with that, but what do you mean by be worthy and deserving?
[00:12:35] Daniel Gomez: great question. We just had a huge real estate training here. I said, it’s called the makings of a millionaire mind in real estate. And this is a true fact. I said, many of you here, real estate agents will never sell a million-dollar house because you don’t think you’re worthy of it. Cause
[00:12:50] Daniel Gomez: You never envision yourself buying a million-dollar house. You say to yourself, subconsciously, I’ll never buy a million-dollar house. So, the bad part about that, Robert, is that we make the decision for the buyer, for the, for our client. And because we don’t feel worthy that we’ll ever buy one, we’ll never list one either. And that’s usually what happens. So that’s why when I talk about that in my book, The Makings of a Millennial Mind, it’s we go in that in depth because you’re never, when you’re never going to receive nothing that you don’t believe you’re deserving of, right? You’re never going to receive it if you don’t believe you deserve it.
[00:13:21] Daniel Gomez: And that’s just a true fact.
[00:13:22] Robert Hossary: Agreed. Yeah, no, that is so true, and you’ve taken me back to my first, big deal. seven million dollars’ worth of, believe it or not, watches. Won’t go into the story, but, you know, it was, it was mind blowing. I didn’t think I could do that, but I did it. So yeah, and once, once you do it, once you get that confidence, you know that you can do it.
[00:13:49] Robert Hossary: You know that your bar has been raised. You know that you can achieve those goals that you set. So, I agree, you know, you got to feel that you’re worthy of it. If unless you feel that you’re worthy and deserving of that status, then you’ll never achieve it. You will never achieve it. As Daniel says, I’m right there with you, Daniel.

[00:14:14] Lesson 4: Dream Bigger

[00:14:14] Robert Hossary: lesson number four seems to tie into that. Lesson number four is dream bigger. Tell me about that.
[00:14:22] Daniel Gomez: You’re never going to win in life dreaming small. You’re never going to receive. The life that was destined for you by your creator. For me, it’s almighty God. We just finished buying a million-dollar home. I would have never thought that we’re going to buy a million-dollar home. Cause I dreamed bigger, right?
[00:14:38] Daniel Gomez: this is a true fact. Many times, people don’t dream bigger because we continue associating with people that we’ve outgrown. And if you keep associating yourself with 10 cent minds, you’re never going to have the million-dollar lifestyle that you have for yourself. And the thing is this is that you’re never going to dream bigger around those 10 cent minds. They’re going to be like, why do you want to go start your own business? You’re doing great. You’re making 50, 000 a year, making 100, 000 a year. I walked away from a quarter million dollar a year job over 200, 000 a year in the automotive industry to take care of my wife when she was diagnosed for breast cancer and to follow the dream that God put in my heart.
[00:15:14] Daniel Gomez: And was it easy? No, but I walked away. Think about that. I walked away from over 200, 000 a year. Most people, most Americans would have never done that because. Most Americans don’t even make that. But I said, no, there’s another level to Daniel Gomez. And I was willing to bet on myself and dream bigger. It’s paying off because all we know is what we’ve been taught, but you got to get rid of those old belief systems that no longer serve us, Robert.
[00:15:38] Robert Hossary: That, that is very profound. All we know is what we’ve been taught. You know, I have not had the experience that you’ve had. I’ve seen something similar. And the term I use is golden handcuffs. You are trapped in a position or a job or a profession with all these perks and all this money. They’re golden handcuffs.
[00:16:01] Robert Hossary: They keep you there. You’re not happy. You don’t want to be there, but you don’t want to give up all of that perceived goodness that the job brings. And it takes a lot of courage. It takes a lot of courage to take those handcuffs off and go, you know, I can be better. It takes a lot of courage to dream bigger.
[00:16:23] Robert Hossary: And when you’re saying dream bigger, Daniel, you’re not just saying, you know, let’s have a fantasy of a what if. Let’s dream bigger. I’m going to do this.
[00:16:36] Robert Hossary: That’s my dream. I want to be there. am I wrong in that?
[00:16:41] Daniel Gomez: Oh, so,
[00:16:42] Daniel Gomez: so, a great, I mean, I remember being a kid, not even a kid, even as a young adult, we’d go, I love the water. So, we either, we’re either in the lake or we go tubing and on Father’s Day, we go tubing and there was this river, we’d go tubing. And then we would come to this one area of the river where You see some beautiful landscape lawns with just beautiful homes. And I’ll be like, man, you know, one day I want one of those. And then I started telling myself, I want a house on the lake. I started boating seriously. I’ve had a boat for the last 13 years. We just bought our new boat probably about three years ago in 2022.
[00:17:13] Daniel Gomez: But I love boating. And I said, I’m going to get me a lake house. It’s been on my vision board. I went and saw them, right? I, you got to touch the dream. You got to smell the dream. You have to feel the dream. You got to go out there and that vision you have for your life. You can’t be scared. And even though we went, even last year, a year ago, we went to this other small city on the outside of San Antonio. About an hour and a half, Austin, Texas, our state capital. We went and saw these houses. They were like three, 4 million. Like they were, I was like, man, it’s a little bit further than what I anticipated, but it’s okay. I’m dreaming bigger, but I was there, and I got this vision from this little restaurant that we had lunch at. And I said, I can see myself, my boat pulling up. Well, guess what? That vision is just, is going to come true here in three weeks. Cause we have a house under contract on the lake and we just got the inspection done and we’re going to set to close here. And
[00:18:05] Daniel Gomez: man, I’m excited. And,
[00:18:06] Daniel Gomez: I allowed myself to dream.
[00:18:08] Daniel Gomez: Why not Daniel? Why not possible for Robert? And the mistake that we make is this is I was 44 years old when I embarked on my journey. You’re never too old and you’re never too young. So, stop listening to all those people that don’t know because they’re the ones with the golden handcuffs or just being lazy because they’re right.
[00:18:25] Daniel Gomez: They’re upset with you. They’re jealous with you. They’re being cynical of you because they don’t have the courage to follow your, their own dreams. When you do.
[00:18:33] Robert Hossary: that’s it. Now, that’s the key. They don’t have the courage. So, the question is people, do you? Do you have the courage to dream bigger? And I would say, if you do, you’ll get there.

[00:18:48] Lesson 5: Trust More

[00:18:48] Robert Hossary: Fantastic lesson. Thank you, Daniel. let’s go to lesson number five, which is a little baffling to me. I agree with it, but I don’t understand what you mean by trust more.
[00:18:59] Daniel Gomez: you have to trust yourself even more. Like the word, so I’ll break it down for you. There’s a word called confidence, right? So, confidence is what the root word of that is confide. So, when you confide, you trust in somebody, you trust in something. you can’t have confidence if you can’t confide in yourself, right?
[00:19:18] Daniel Gomez: So, you got to trust in yourself even more. You got to trust in your God given abilities even more. And then that’s one part. That’s one aspect. And the even more comes. For me is you got to trust in God even more that if he got me to this place, he can get me to this place, right? If he got me here, he can get me here.
[00:19:35] Daniel Gomez: If he got me here, he can get me here. So, the mistake that we make is you try to give somebody advice or you try to coach some people and they say, Oh, I do this. I said, I never said you didn’t do it. I never said you didn’t work out. I never said you didn’t spend time with your kids. I never said you didn’t call your wife. I said, but there comes a time in your relationship in you, you got to do even more because the even more is required. What do I mean by that? the same talent level here in America. you know what? We’ll just use one that’s worldwide. The same talent level that had you as a, as an amateur soccer player, football player, it’s not going to get you to the world cup because you got to practice what?
[00:20:17] Daniel Gomez: Even more! So, every level requires an even more, ladies and gentlemen. And that’s what you got to understand. What got you here is not going to get you here. And you can want to be a professional, but if you practice like an amateur, you’re going to always stay an amateur.
[00:20:33] Robert Hossary: I have a saying that I’ve been following for years, which is, if you do what you’ve always done, you get what you’ve always got. Daniel is absolutely right. trust yourself even more.
[00:20:44] Robert Hossary: that is very profound. And I love that Daniel, because you’re spot on.

[00:21:22] Lesson 6: I am a Rolls Royce

[00:21:22] Robert Hossary: Our guest today is Daniel Gomez Award-winning keynote speaker, author, executive coach, corporate trainer and podcaster.
[00:21:32] Robert Hossary: Daniel, let’s move on to lesson number six. now, I don’t know, does this go back to your automotive roots? I am a Rolls Royce. Lesson number six, I am a Rolls Royce. Tell me about
[00:21:44] Daniel Gomez: Well, the
[00:21:44] Daniel Gomez: thing is, this is that when I wrote that chapter in my book, I am a Rolls Royce. It’s about you as a human being belonging to the elite. Most people don’t have a sense of belonging when they’re around the elite, they get intimidated. So, a whole thing about I am a Rolls Royce is you have no need to compare yourself, ladies and gentlemen, Robert, does a Rolls Royce compare itself to a Chevy truck? No, there’s a Rolls Royce compare yourself to a Mercedes. E class, does a Rolls Royce compare itself to a Lexus? Then why are you comparing yourself if you’re a Rolls Royce? You have no need to compare yourself because I am a Rolls Royce. I belong with the elite. That’s my attitude. That’s the way I carry myself.
[00:22:32] Daniel Gomez: Not because I’m arrogant, because I know my value. I know my worth. And the moment you start to know your value and your worth, you’ll stop discounting it. And you’ll go to those next levels because you see Man, I am a Rolls Royce. Why am I? Worried about what they’re doing, right? Half the stuff they’re doing is not even real because it’s just phony on social media.
[00:22:52] Daniel Gomez: look, I understand the lesson. I take it. Everyone has their worth. Everyone is worth more than they think they’re worth. Do not allow other people to judge you and label you, you know, you are a Rolls Royce use the value of the fact that you are unique, use the value in the fact that you are intelligent, that you have achieved what you have achieved to date.
[00:23:27] Robert Hossary: And if you use all the other lessons Daniel’s spoken about, then you can achieve more. But it all comes down to confidence. And you are a Rolls Royce is that confidence. Do not compare yourself, people. It’s pointless because nobody is you. Nobody is Daniel Gomez. Nobody is Robert Hossary. Nobody is you. You are you.
[00:23:49] Robert Hossary: So, I like the lesson,
[00:23:52] Robert Hossary: yeah. I like where it goes.
[00:23:54] Daniel Gomez: let’s plug in audible even more. You can go to
[00:23:56] Daniel Gomez: audible
[00:23:57] Daniel Gomez: and get just a copy of the makings of a Millionaire mind. on audible and you can listen to the Rolls Royce chapter over and over. It’s the repetition that’s going to change your way of thinking. And the reason we did the audible version was because. People need to understand that it takes repetition to learn, man, I really am a
[00:24:15] Daniel Gomez: Rolls Royce because you know what? Most people don’t believe it for themselves, Robert.
[00:24:19] Robert Hossary: That’s true. That, and you know, let’s put, I’ll put my hand up. I didn’t believe it for a long time, that I had what it took to be who I am. And I think a lot of people understand that and have been there. I agree with how you are approaching this, and I really want to tell the audience, what Daniel says is correct.
[00:24:45] Robert Hossary: The repetition is a big part of learning, but so is failing. Do not be afraid to fail, because that fear will stop you from trying, and if you don’t try. You’ll never succeed.

[00:25:04] Lesson 7: Have a Value System to Live By

[00:25:04] Robert Hossary: Oh, that’s fantastic. All right. let’s move on to lesson number seven. And I’ll say this, Daniel, all of these lessons, as you said at the very beginning, all tie into each other.
[00:25:15] Robert Hossary: So, lesson number seven, have a value system to live by. Talk to me about that.
[00:25:22] Daniel Gomez: Well, you have to value yourself. And I speak all over the world, Robert, and what, whether I spoke in the UK, spoke here in America, spoke in Asia, what I realize is over 90 percent of people undervalue themselves because they have a low value system they have a low self-esteem and you’re never going to rise above how you value yourself on a scale of one to 10, right?
[00:25:45] Daniel Gomez: On a scale of one to 10. We’ll just say you value yourself at a number five. Your life’s going to be stuck at a level four all the time. Cause you’re never going to grow that. If you value yourself at a level six, then your life’s never going to go above a level five. And it’s true for your business too.
[00:26:00] Daniel Gomez: If you’re a level four business owner, more than likely, you’re never going to acquire that next level talent to take it to the next level because you’re going to be insecure leader and you undervalue yourself. So, you’re never going to attract the people that you need to really take it to the next level.
[00:26:16] Robert Hossary: You’re hitting home with me on so many different levels, Daniel,
[00:26:20] Daniel Gomez: I love this Daniel Gomez inspires guy.
[00:26:24] Robert Hossary: yeah, but I’m sure you’re hitting home with a lot of our audience, and it’s because Of what you said earlier and what you just said now, the value system that you have needs to be something you believe in and live to.
[00:26:42] Robert Hossary: So, you need to believe in yourself, which goes back to one of your previous lessons. You need to have that value system. You are important. You are worth it. You are worthy, you’re deserving, and all of this will build up, and yeah, sure, if you think that I’m a five and I’m never going to get any better, then you’re never going to get any better.
[00:27:05] Robert Hossary: You’re never going to be able to achieve more because that’s all you want. I mean, the world is full of stories and anecdotes of people who have succeeded from nothing. Why do you think that is? And let’s assume that 50 percent of them are true.
[00:27:22] Robert Hossary: How do those 50 percent succeed? Because they believed in themselves enough to take the risk, to take that next step. So, Daniel, again, the inspiration there is absolutely spot on. People, I would, as I do with most of my guests, urge you, rewind, listen to this again, listen to what Daniel says, listen to his words.
[00:27:51] Robert Hossary: Don’t just hear the words, listen to them, understand them, and internalize them, because that’s important.

[00:27:58] Lesson 8: Set your Financial Thermostat

[00:27:58] Robert Hossary: Fantastic, Daniel. All right, we’re ripping through these, but lesson number eight. you’ll need to explain this because I got no idea. Lesson number eight, remember to set your financial thermostat.
[00:28:12] Daniel Gomez: the truth is, this is that your financial thermostat. So, if someone would just say over here, Home Depot is one of the big corporations here in America. So, we’ll just say if somebody works at Home Depot. They’ve been there working there for five years, right?
[00:28:26] Daniel Gomez: Five years comes out to 60 months, six zero. So, for 60 months, they’ve been making 2, 000 a month. What do you think their financial thermostat is? 2, 000 a month. All of a sudden, they get an opportunity to become an account executive or sales professional and make a better living. So, they go out there and they sell watches like you did. They get this big order of watches and guess what? Their commission is 10, 000. They go back again the next month, and they crush it like Robert did. Another big order, another 10, 000 in commissions. Now that gentleman that was just at Home Depot making 2, 000 a month for the last 60 months, remember 60, they already have the habit.
[00:29:07] Daniel Gomez: That’s their financial thermostat. They come make 20, 000 in two months. A, two things happen. Imposter syndrome sets in. They self-sabotage themselves and then internally, their subconscious mind says, hold on, you just made 20, 000. That’s 10 months’ worth of salary. Let me go into cruise control and let me start self-sabotaging myself. And they don’t even realize you’re doing it because their financial thermostat is so low. So, you’ve, you automatically bring yourself down, not because you do it, but because your subconscious mind. People don’t realize how powerful the paradigm is that. You don’t even run your own life. Your paradigm runs your life and people don’t even understand that.
[00:29:47] Daniel Gomez: That’s even, that’s another conversation for an hour, but that’s just a, that’s just a quick breakdown. You got to raise your financial thermostat. And I tell you that because I had to fight it right to become a millionaire, you definitely got to go through a couple of stages of going through that imposter syndrome and making a quarter million dollars a year, having half a million then, and right then when you’re like, man, like wow.
[00:30:07] Daniel Gomez: Like it’s, put it this way, it’s easier, Robert, to make a short, right? It’s easier to make a whole lot of money. In a short period of time than what it is to make a little bit of money over a long period of time. And most people hear that and they’re like, huh, what? That’s not true because they don’t have the right paradigm.
[00:30:25] Robert Hossary: let me ask you how much of setting your thermostat, and I know that’s a metaphor for a lot of other things, not just financial, but a lot of other success factors in your life. How much of that is linked to self-awareness?
[00:30:41] Daniel Gomez: most people ain’t self-aware. They’re not aware because they keep themselves in, it goes back to that old saying, you’re the sum of the five people you hang out with the most. Show me your friends and I’ll show you your future. So, if you’re always hanging around with six broke people, right? If I have broke people, you’re going to be the sixth one. But when I started my business, I knew that cause I had experienced it. So, I said, man, I’m going to hang on all five millionaires. Eventually I’ll be the sixth one. And sure enough, within five years, it happened because the language is different. The walk is different. The talk is different. The environments are different. And the thing is this, is that awareness is key because most people, they have a poverty language that I talk about in my book, Robert. They have a poverty language, and they wonder why they’re living paycheck to paycheck, commission to commission, and they never get to the next level because, They have a poverty language, which is the lack of the awareness. They don’t even realize what they say.
[00:31:39] Robert Hossary: I will agree with that. I will also very strongly say to our audience, you need to stop. And look at the person in the mirror, and you need to make sure that person respects and loves you, and you need to love and respect that person. When you get to that stage where you can look in the mirror and see the faults and know how to fix them, then everything that Daniel said is going to be something that you can actually implement.
[00:32:12] Robert Hossary: But up until the fact that you can say to yourself, I have this block, I have this barrier and I can overcome it by fixing this part of my life. Then you’re just going to go through the motions and you’re not going to get anywhere because you’ll have all of those thermostats set so low. That you will never achieve anything.
[00:32:36] Robert Hossary: So, self-awareness and self-confidence, you know, again, everything that Daniel has been saying is about waking up to yourself, understanding who you are and being the best you that you possibly can be. So, I don’t know if you agree with that, Daniel, but I strongly believe in that.
[00:32:57] Daniel Gomez: you, the thing is that there’s different levels of awareness and most people don’t even get to level one. And then they wonder why things happen. And then that’s where you play the victim. You play the blame game.
[00:33:07] Daniel Gomez: And so, the truth is just waking up to, to, to who you are as an individual.
[00:33:15] Daniel Gomez: and most people. They don’t want to deal, right? They don’t want to deal with the truth because then that’s when you start to really, you have to go deep within yourself and it hurts sometimes because you got to forgive a, the hardest person to forgive is yourself, Robert,
[00:33:31] Robert Hossary: yeah,
[00:33:31] Daniel Gomez: the hardest person to forgive is you. You got to forgive you. And most people don’t have the strength to forgive themselves. And because of that, they can’t forgive other people and they walk right. We don’t realize that resentment, man, resentment will hinder your life, hinder your business more than anything else. And most people don’t even realize how big and heavy resentment kills your creativity and it brings you down to a lower frequency.
[00:33:58] Robert Hossary: absolutely agree. And. A lot of people don’t understand that a lot of the resentment you hold starts with you. You’re actually resenting yourself and a portion of yourself you see in others. Well, you want me to give you, So
[00:34:18] Daniel Gomez: let’s go deeper in this, right? so
[00:34:20] Daniel Gomez: people, people wonder why does my love, why does my life suck? Why is my business losing? And people wonder this, right? My life sucks, right? My business isn’t growing. Well, this is a key. I want you to write this down. Ladies and gentlemen, here’s your million-dollar wisdom. Re right. Resentment leads to resistance. Resentment leads to resistance. So anytime something new comes into you because you’re operating in so much resentment, you automatically resist. the new that’s trying to come into you because you see it as a problem instead of seeing it as the opportunity, the blessing that God’s trying to send you. So, you resist it and then you stay stuck in that same old cycle of resentment, and you don’t even realize it because you’re resisting the very thing you’re resisting. You’re resisting the very thing you’re praying for and asking God to help you with, but you don’t see it because it’s packaged in a different way.
[00:35:21] Robert Hossary: there’s a nugget of wisdom, ladies and gentlemen. There is a nugget of wisdom that you really should hold on to. now that’s fantastic, Daniel.

[00:35:30] Lesson 9: I belong with the Elite.

[00:35:30] Robert Hossary: As I said, we could discuss this for a lot longer, but I think we’ll move on to lesson number nine, which I think you’ve already touched on, but lesson number nine, I belong with the elite.
[00:35:43]
[00:35:43] Daniel Gomez: Yeah, it ties into the Rolls Royce is really the, so the Rolls Royce concept is really stop comparing yourself. That’s what the Rolls Royce concept is. Right? Stop comparing yourself to this car, that car to anybody else, but when you belong with the elite, you, there, there is some rooms and there’s many rooms that I have yet to walk into that I can tell you the energy is at a, such a higher level that. I might not feel like I belong there, but, and then, and when you say that what you’re really saying is you’re not there yet, but you’ve got to stay in that environment, even though, what, what do I mean by that? I’ll tell you what, so when I first went to go look at a brand-new Lamborghini, let me tell you, the energy is higher and it’s a different environment.
[00:36:27] Daniel Gomez: It’s a different ambience. When I went to my first Rolls Royce dealership, it’s not like a Toyota dealership, let me tell you, but people walk in there and they’re like, Oh wow, right? No, kind of become normal to me because it’s a higher frequency and you belong with the elite. You belong. Why don’t you belong there?
[00:36:47] Daniel Gomez: you’re not worse off than anybody. You’ll be, you’re just as good as A, B and C, but when you don’t see yourself as the elite, then you don’t, right? I say this, I belong with the elite. I stay with the elite. I eat with the elite. Because I am the elite. And when you have that attitude, then you started tracking those bigger opportunities, those bigger paydays. And with those bigger paydays, you’re able to help more people.
[00:37:10] Robert Hossary: Agreed. Agreed.
[00:37:12] Robert Hossary: This is one of the lessons that our, one of our other hosts, Siebe Van Der Zee, says is, Get over it.
[00:37:19] Robert Hossary: You’ve got to get over those hurdles. Get over all the blocks in your life. Get over the resentment. Just get over it and move on and accept the fact that you are worthy, and you are deserving.

[00:37:33] Lesson 10: Believe

[00:37:33] Robert Hossary: Fantastic, Daniel, fantastic. All right, believe it or not, we’ve arrived at lesson number 10. Lesson number 10 is pretty extreme. One word, believe. Tell us about that.
[00:37:52] Daniel Gomez: when you believe you be living. And most people don’t believe because they’re not be living the life that they really were put here to be. It’s easier to believe it for somebody else. It’s easier to believe it and stand as a spectator and cheer on the Dallas Cowboys, cheer on the best rugby in the world. It’s easier to cheer on but because you don’t believe it for yourself. So, it’s always easier to be a spectator and a cheerleader. Well in life, I don’t want to be a spectator. I don’t want to be a cheerleader. I want to believe. For Daniel Gomez, because I want to be living the life that God gave for me.
[00:38:32] Robert Hossary: That’s very powerful. It’s very simple. Not a lot of people do it. And it’s very powerful.
[00:38:41] Daniel Gomez: Robert,
[00:38:42] Daniel Gomez: I’m going to give you another nugget of wisdom, if you may allow me to.
[00:38:46] Robert Hossary: we love your nuggets, Daniel. We love your nuggets.
[00:38:49] Daniel Gomez: you’re wondering, ladies and gentlemen, as you’re listening to your amazing hosts, Robert and myself, Daniel Gomez Inspires, you’re wondering why you’re where you’re at, why is there a lack in my life? Why is there a lack of joy? Why is there a lack of relationships? Why is there a lack of money? Why is there just a lack in every department? And why are you, why am I broke? Why is there lack? It’s because there’s lack. Let me listen. This is the nugget. There’s lack in your life. There’s lack in your business. Because you have a lack of belief.
[00:39:24] Robert Hossary: That is true. I mean, you can’t argue with that. and it doesn’t matter people, what it is that you choose to believe. You have a lack of belief; it will stop you from achieving. It’s that simple. So, look, Daniel, that is again, powerful, simple, and again, everything that you’ve given us is Just so simple to implement in your life and yet people don’t do it.
[00:39:59] Robert Hossary: So, before we wrap up, and before I ask you about Daniel Gomez inspires, let me ask you this. So, what in your experience, in, in all your career, what have you had to unlearn? Something that you believed in, something you held solid and then you grew up and you went, okay, that doesn’t work and that’s
[00:40:22] Daniel Gomez: that’s easy, Robert. to unlearn being poor. I had to unlearn being poor, that it was okay for people to serve me and take care of me and treat me like royalty. I had to unlearn thinking like a poor man that didn’t deserve to be. Waited on, taken care of, you know, so many times and it’s the poor people, right?
[00:40:48] Daniel Gomez: And what I mean by that is the people that, that, sometimes people over give. If the world is the world created with the North Pole and the South Pole, that just demonstrates that There’s a positive and a negative to everything. It’s a world of dualities. There’s an up, there’s a down. So many people give because there’s an unbalance in their lives and they don’t know how to receive it all. And for me, I had to unlearn being poor because when you give so much like I do, you’re bound to receive, and most people have a problem receiving it. And I’ll never forget when I went to go speak at this huge business conference, they had my parking up front. They had my name reserved. They escorted me we had a little entourage. It was pretty cool. But I just received it. I’m like, you know what? you want to open the door for me. Go ahead. I’m going to receive it.
[00:41:38] Daniel Gomez: Not in arrogance, but I really received it with a thankful heart that it’s okay to be treated like royalty. And when you believe that for yourself and you unlearn thinking poor, the bigger things in your life come to come your way.
[00:41:53] Robert Hossary: it’s true as far as learning or unlearning to be modest, not in, as you said, in an arrogant way. But accepting the compliment, accepting what is being given to you, graciously. I see that. It took me a bloody long time to be able to even think that way. So, I hear you and I understand.
[00:42:21] Robert Hossary: All right, Daniel, tell our audience all about Daniel Gomez inspires, which, by the way, people, the link will be in the show notes, so you can go down there, click on it, listen to Daniel’s podcast and, go get his books.

[00:42:39] Daniel Gomez: I first want to do is I want to give a gift to your audience. We have this nice, PDF, the makings of a millionaire mind affirmations. These are affirmations that I tell myself. So, I want them to text the word millionaire, no exclamation point, no emoji, just the word millionaire to 210 942 5059.

[00:43:08] Robert Hossary: And just before you go on, ladies and gentlemen, that’s a US number, so it’s a plus one and the number that Daniel just gave you.

[00:02:06] Daniel Gomez: What an honor to be here with you, my friend. Thank you so much. I’m over here in this beautiful country and you’re over there on the other side of the world and technology makes it happen. So, I’m ready to drop some massive value to your audience and thank you for having me. I’m honored to be here with you today.

[00:43:08] Robert Hossary: And just before you go on, ladies and gentlemen, that’s a US number, so it’s a plus one and the number that Daniel just gave you.
